Universitas Hasanuddin memperingati dies natalis ke 64. Dengan mengusung tema "Mengokohkan Unhas sebagai Humaniversity dalam Adaptasi Kebiasaan Baru" sejumlah kegiatan dalam rangkaian peringatan dies natalis tersebut diselenggarakan di kabupaten Wajo mulai tanggal 23 - 25 Oktober 2020.
Saat memberi sambutan pada malam ramah tamah peringatan Dies Natalis di kabupaten Wajo, Jum'at (23/10/2020) Bupati Wajo menitip sejumlah harapan kepada Rektor dan seluruh Civitas Akademika Unhas.
"Kita berharap berbagai potensi yang ada di Wajo bisa dikembangkan melalui riset yang dilakukan oleh para akademisi dari Unhas, termasuk keberadaan ikan sapu-sapu yang menjadi momok bagi nelayan di Danau Tempe, " harapnya.
Sementara Rektor Unhas, Dwi Ariestina menyampaikan terimakasih atas penerimaan pemerintah kabupaten Wajo sebagai tuan rumah dies natalis Unhas. Ini menjadi bagian dari tindak lanjut dari MoU Unhas dengan Pemda Wajo.
"Di Unhas banyak Dosen yang berasal dari kabupaten Wajo sehingga kalau pemilihan Rektor harus bisa berkomunikasi dengan Dosen-Dosen dari Wajo agar terpilih jadi Rektor, "ujar Dwi Ariestina.
Hadir dalam acara malam ramah tamah ini, puluhan professor dari Unhas bersama ratusan alumni kampus merah Unhas, serta jajaran Forkopimda dan Kepala OPD se kabupaten Wajo.
Sejumlah kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakan sebagai rangkaian peringatan dies natalis Unhas di Wajo, diantaranya Penandatanganan MoU, Pameran Ilmiah, dan Pengabdian Masyarakat di berbagai lokus.
